"The very freshest out of Beaujolias--although she's made just a few vintages now--it's no exaggeration to say that Elisa is turning heads, even among the greatest winemakers in the region. This is her humble Beaujolais Villages which is pretty much pure poetry. On the nose: baby wild raspberries, ripe black cherries, white strawberry, wilted roses, breakfast tea, and the distinct essence of warm sandy pavement moments after it's begun to rain on a late summer beach day. On the palate more of the same, but especailly the essence of wild fruit forraged at peak ripeness. Basically lightening in a bottle. My new obsession."
