"In June 2024 I visited Tim at J Chrisopher Winery where he keeps a day job but also houses the barrels for his personal project. This rare capture of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir was sourced from La Collina Vineyard in the Dundee Hills and it's completely stunning. Complex layers of cranberries, bing cherries, and fresh herbs and black tea are all accompanied by a mineral backbone chock full of irresistable reductive flint--the distinct aroma of musket fire. The Secret Barrel series continues and this is almost certainly the most serious bottling yet. Considering the pedigree of the fruit--the price is suprisingly affable. 23 cases made--a single barrel."
