"Many would argue that Chateau Pegau is hands down the finest estate in Chateauneuf du Pape. To attain such greatness it is natural that some of the fruit from the estate be declassified every year to maintain the quality of the Chateau blend and it is through this process that Plan Pegau was born. Not only does some of the fruit come from the estate but the wine also incorporates a percentage of fruit from Costieres de Nimes in far Southern France. This well built red incorporates not only Grenache and Syrah but Cabernet and Merlot as well. It is medium bodied but rich with earth and fruit that hints at this wine's big brother. A bargain little taste of Chateau Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape."
