"It’s no exaggeration that I’ve been eager to put this wine on the shelf for years. Since I am a die hard lover of this producer: Muller-Catoir, and the 'Scheurebe' grape variety is basically my spirit animal, this is basically a perfect storm in the best way possible. This is one of the most traditional producers in the Pfalz region of Germany. Not only are these wines ridiculously marked by a sense of place, but they’re also stupidly delicious. Don’t fear the tall bottle, this wine is completely dry, dignified with the distinct signature of herbs, wild flowers, and minerals. Tree fruit is present but takes a decided back seat to distinguished secondary complexity. I love it. I think you’ll love it. Try it with cod, haddock, halibut, and even bitter greens."
