"Pretty much my ideal Italian house wine. This is packed with authenticity, southful earthiness, and generous layers of black fruit. Made from the Corvina grape variety (most famous for its leading role in Valpolicella and Amarone)--this is a stunning example of what is possible. The savory earthy bits make the wine: white truffle, mushrooms, and sous bois adorn sappy and succulent black fruit and a considerable backbone of velvety soft tannin. The finish is impressively long. An excellent choice for prosciutto, bolognese, or carpaccio. Also a great option simply for the sake of a glass of red."
