“Pretty much my ideal Chianti Classico, the Caparsa offers all the trappings of the appellation in flawless proportion: a happy amalgamation of baby wild strawberries, sour black cherry, black tea, dry dusty earth and wafts of warm sand and wildflowers. On the palate an inviting layer of tannin proceeds the good stuff: a generous bounty of foraged berries that clings and holds. If this sounds like mouthful, it is, but its elegant, lifted, and lithe.
