Three Canadian Chardonnays?
Hi All,
Mitch here... So... originally I/we had planned on picking one wine for today's offer. Codey, Eliot and I sat down and tasted through 3 Canadian chardonnays, all from the same producer, but all with very different pedigrees. Our objective was to pick our favorite and make that the "offer" wine for today. Well that didn't go as planned. Long story (or video) short, we loved all three for very different reasons so we decided to offer all three (more on that in a moment).
If you'd like to check out our latest YouTube video about these wines head here. (Remember, we're new to the whole YouTube "thing"... our videos are still a little rough... but getting better? I'd love feedback)

"The Backstory"
Tawse is a family-owned estate winery situated on the lower slopes of the Niagara Escarpment. They strive to unite traditional winemaking techniques with state-of-the-art technology to create wines of exceptional elegance, depth and character.
They focus on the vineyards first. All work is done by hand including harvesting and sorting. They apply organic and biodynamic methods to every aspect of their production. All wines are handled using natural gravity flow and geothermic energy.
"About The Wines"
Tawse 2015 Naigara Chardonnay
Produced from a blend of estate fruit and sourced fruit from select vineyards within the Niagara Peninsula. This is the lightest and "leanest" of the three. Delicate floral nose.. citrus based fruit with underlying tropical notes. Fresh, clean, crisp finish. Awesome cocktail white or would pair well with lighter fair due to it's crisp acidity
Tawse 2013 Estate Chardonnay
100% estate fruit from three organic and biodynamic vineyard sites, Robyn's Block, David's Block and Hillside. Nice floral nose with snippets of spice and tropical fruit. Medium weight in the mouth. Wonderful balance of citrus and tropical fruits with a wonderful base of spice. Rich without being flabby. Nice lingering finish.
Tawse 2013 Quarry Road Chardonnay
Sourced 100% from the Quarry Road Vineyard. Certified organic and biodynamic in 2008. Rich and intense nose... tropical with rich spice tones. Wonderfully rich mouth feel. Super complex flavors that meld beautifully together. Peach, apple and baking spice are all present and framed nicely in a subtle minerality. The finish is long and super complex. Extremely thought provoking.
